Here are the following rules that you have to agree to if you want to join. If one of the rules is broken, you will receive a warning. If you break another rule, a warning is also followed. If you break the same rule again, you will be suspended or kicked out. Sorry if the rules seem a little harsh and long, but if you take the time to read it, it will be easier for everyone.
1. No god-mode: This means you can not control the other characters that are role playing. You may control objects or NPC's (non-player characters).
2. Keep it PG 13 No rape, murder, or sex. There can be kissing, cuddling, snogging etc, but don't go overboard and you could always mark it as private. Or move to PMs at the point where it may be 'offensive'.
3. Every Roleplay post must be at least one paragraph (8 sentences). Here’s an example of what you shouldn’t do:
hi what is your name. do you want to play quidditch (Use proper grammar)
“Hi, how are you today?” I asked them. (Do not use first person)
*Goes over to the lake* (Don’t use *)
Here’s a good roleplay example:
“Hi, what is your name?” Cory asked. He was feeling bored and felt like playing quidditch. He was the team captain for the Gryffindor team and practiced every single day. He decided to ask the person that he just met. “Do you want to play quidditch?”
He pulled out his broom that he had just received on his birthday and mounted it. Flying in circles, he waited for the other boy to join him. The weather was perfect, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky.
If you’re having trouble figuring out what to write, you could go to the posting lessons section. Also, remember to use spell check!
4. If you’re out of character while role playing, put it in double-parenthesis (( )) or something along the lines of that..
5. No stealing other people’s graphics, you must get permission from them first. The avatar must be 100x100. The banner must be smaller than 500x230. That way the board doesn't stretch. Now, if you have read the rules, write camera at the end of your application. If they are larger than that, they will be taken out. You may also only be allowed one signature image, or two depending on the size.
6. You may have two characters on an account as a standard, but if you do so, you must know how to role play for both of them and show it effectively in the RP example when you sign up. Having an account per person is good too, just make sure you keep them all active.
7. If you are in a staff position or an Elemental Character and are not active for five days, your position will be up for grabs. If you come back after two weeks and find that your position is taken, you may not take it back unless the person who took it agrees to it.
Rules will be added/changed as necessary.
MAGICAL ABILITIES can be asked for either in your profile application OR after acceptance. I am picky with giving these out...but you can try. ^_^
